Digital Signage
As a means of communicating with staff, visitors and customers, digital signage or 'narrowcasting' has proved itself as an effective method to deliver location and time of day specific advertising and messaging
As well as text, images. live and pre-recorded video, digital signage can also support media such as PowerPoint presentations, Macromedia Flash animations, live RSS feeds and other web content. Digital Signage combines some or all of these onto one video output that can be displayed on screen monitors (including High definition and wide-screen formats) via an IP set-top box.
Centralised management of the Digital Signage system allows for complete control of the signage media estate and allows the manager to easily specify which locations display what content. Furthermore, interfaces into external services such as video analytics systems allow this content to change dynamically based on crowd size, 'stickiness' and other behavioural patterns.
The system can also be used for staff training and to implement self service kiosks.
