IP Television
IP Television or IPTV is the transmission of high quality live video to endpoints connected to the same multi-services IP network infrastructure. Live video can be transmitted from a variety of sources including cable, satellite and terrestrial television signals, and displayed via personal computer monitors or more familiar television screens with the use of a set top box.
The IPTV solution provides users with an intuitive front end from which live TV, Video on Demand and text based content can be selected and a personalised electronic programme guide (EPG) can be accessed to view channel schedules.
