Video On Demand (VoD)
Video on Demand, or VoD, is the streaming of pre-recorded video across the multiservice IP network infrastructure. Users can watch VoD content on their personal computers or standard Televisions via an IP set-top box.
Each user has complete control over the content they are watching, allowing stop, pause, fast-forward and rewind. As each user has access to a video stream dedicated to them, the service uses IP unicast streams from the VoD server.
Careful planning is required to ensure that the underlying multi-service network infrastructure and VoD servers are accordingly engineered for the deployment in question. Telindus supplies a wide range of network engineering services including consultancy, design, installation and maintenance that support our VoD solutions.
Telindus VoD is available as a standalone solution or fully integrated with Telindus IPTV and/or Digital Signage.
